They absolutely will try to castrate him, Doc. However, his budget isn't even that extreme, as compared to the Rand Paul plan for instance. I think you meant Medicare when you said Social Security. From what I've read, the Ryan plan doesn't really touch Social Security but it does create a Premium-support system for Medicare, while still leaving the existing public option in place. I love Ryan, and I love that Romney had the marbles to make such a bold choice.

Paul Ryan is fantastic and he knows his crap. The Dems can attack him all they want but he has the data and knowledge to back up what he says. And his budget doesn't go near far enough, but it's a step in the right direction. That's more than we can say for just about everyone else...

A Ryan/Biden debate would be a laugher. But could make for some entertainment.

I'm no fan of Romney, but I'm a big fan of Ryan.

I'm still not sure Romney can win, but I don't understand how Obama can get another 4 years. The biggest thing in this election cycle will be Congress.

I think for '16 I'd like to see something with Ryan/Rubio/West.

The only thing you and your liberal whack jobs buddies have to be really happy about is that it probably makes Florida tougher to turn red. Ryan is a genius and is a ten fold upgrade from Biden in the minds of any open thinking independent, and try as you might, Ryan's selection isn't going to "energize" the massive uninformed and unintelligent base of your party the way Palin did.
