Senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah have told the WSJ that Iran gave Hamas the go ahead for the attack last monday. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard has been working with Hamas since August on their "air, land, and sea" invasion.

The attack in Israel was a spoiler operation, not the opening for a bigger engagement on the world stage. If this was meant to be more than just a "terror" attack, then Hezbollah in Lebanon and Fatah on the West Bank would have also attack attacked on Israel.

This operation was operation to try and stop the normalization that was about to happen between Israel and Saudi's.
