Actually, each State chooses their electors. The Senate chooses the date for the electors to meet in their State Capitols, to vote. Then the Senate President and Senate open up the sealed votes from each State, and count the votes. This is largely ceremonial since each state has a legal method of choosing their electors to vote according to their State voters decisions. This is not exactly a duty of power in today's electoral process.

The Constitution says:
The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted.

This is the Kansas State Law governing choosing electors:
Presidential electors for presidential candidates shall be selected by the state committee of the political party of the candidates, if there is such a committee. Names of the presidential electors so selected shall be certified to the secretary of state by the chairperson of the committee. Party nominations for presidential electors can be made only by a delegate or mass convention or caucus of qualified electors belonging to a political party having a national or state organization. The electors of president and vice-president of the United States shall convene at the capital of the state on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December after their election, at the hour of twelve o'clock at noon of that day; and if there shall be any vacancy in the office of electors, occasioned by death, refusal to act, neglect to attend, or other cause, the electors present shall immediately proceed to fill, by ballot and by a plurality of votes, such vacancy in the electoral college; and when the electors shall appear, or the vacancies shall have been filled as above provided, they shall proceed to perform the duties required of such electors by the constitution and laws of the United States.

It will be the same group of people that reported folks dying from tooth infections and skydiving being labeled Covid. The Trump Team have successfully installed the conspiratorial machinery. Most of the folks on the right will believe anything at this point. "Reality can no longer be trusted". McConnel will call for an investigation, the House will reject his request, then there will be gridlock.

I'm saying if the Senate remains in GOP hands and the closely co states have sent competing slates of electors, then the President of the Senate, Mike Pence, would present electors faithful to Trump.

If Biden wins, I will probably not scream at the sky. I probably will not sit in my car and record youtube videos about how I am 'literally' fearing for my life. I will probably do what I do everyday, get up, go to work and do whatever the eff I want to. Cause, I guess, I don't let who is president have that much control over my life and psyche.

Because I'm not freaking crazy and insane. And am perfectly capable of taking care of myself. Biden will be a shitty president for a few months. Will sorta be interesting to see how far he actually goes. Then we'll get Kamala Harris, which will be even more interesting.
