  • 79? Judging from your comments, and numerous criticisms of conservative people and causes, you're obviously a liberal. Why don't you tell me when twitter and YouTube have banned a LIBERAL for their comments and stories like they did the New York Post, Bannon, etc.(and the NY Post didn't mention anything violent) You can't because it's never happened that I know of. The double standard is so loud, it's deafening. Twitter and YouTube, etc. are all just mediums for Liberals and they cancel any other thoughts out of existence. While Conservatives rarely make these types of comments and violence is overwhelmingly spoken against by conservatives, every once in a while, frustrations boil over, and things said that shouldn't be allowed. But the longer this happens, and the more frustrations that build up, there could be a bad result.

The following is a posters comment below the Bannon story that sums it all up..

Cool... you wanna call that a call to violence? Fine! Keith Olberrman declared on his podcast recently that Trump should be executed over 200,000 times for each Covid death. He literally said he should be executed, revived, and re-executed over 200,000 times. Was he removed? Wheres the article on that? See.... our problem isnt with putting clear limits on what you can say on any given platform.... our issue is with the targeting conservatives and the making up of excuses when the left clearly violates those exact same limits. After this election, (promising 10% margins for Biden, calling Biden races well before counting is done while not calling Trump states when 90-99% of votes are counted with much larger margins) the media has lost every last ounce of credibility they ever had.... social media, ditto. Every article you have written over the past year, I have given clear examples of liberals violating the same norms that are apparently so crucial to you...... not a word written about it. Its ignored completely, or written off in a one line excuse. For instance, multiple women from the right were elected to positions of power.... wheres your article shouting "Hooray! Women!" It doesnt exist. Because you clearly, biasedly, pick and choose what facts you will report. Heres another... record turnout for conservatives from minority voters across all categories (black, Hispanic, gay, trans, women etc)... you know... the "monolithic" voters that they are. Wheres that article?

I never made any comments on that link I posted. You'll have to talk to the people who wrote the article if you want their view of things.

Depending on the subject, my political affiliation ranges from slight left to slight right. So I'm basically independent. And no, I didn't vote for either candidate.

Also, you're free to post other articles on your own that you feel aren't being given enough air time. Don't wait for someone like me to do it for you.

If you look further down in the comments, the commentor was corrected, and acknowledged, that Olberman (the moron that he is) didn't call for the execution of Trump, but should receive a legal system death penalty for every covid death. How does anyone even stand to listen to that idiot?

But the general idea is accurate. There's a clear double-standard being applied.

My comments were related to "my read" of your past postings that seemed liberal to me. I don't remember a right leaning post from you anyway. You say you are down the middle but you avoided responding to the double standard, I mentioned. We can all disagree but I really get frustrated by the double standard from the MSM, and alternative media outlets. The owners of MSM, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, Twitter, Google, etc. try to bully, formulate, sway, alter, and change public opinion to agree with them instead of allowing for the exchange of ideas. Even the more neutral outlets I just mentioned use words (reporters, and anchors) that are slanted, nuanced, drama filled, etc. instead of just reporting the news. This is why the "woke" movement is actually a form of authoritarianism, and they would be happy if our government went the way of Castro, Putin, Xi, etc. as long as the government's opinions fit their narrative, freedoms be damned.

          • I want to say this one more time just to be clear. We should investigate any and all legitimate claims of election fraud to ensure fair and accurate results.

Surely, because there is an appearance of potential fraud in several areas/locations.

But the silence from conservative legislators is not very encouraging (sans Graham), as far as giving it a legitimate voice goes. It seems to be just Trump and a few lawyers advocating for investigations, along with millions of voters who are rightly concerned, but can really do nothing. Once can be sure no media outlet is going to investigate, because that's not what they do anymore.

And we should do that in ALL battleground states, not just four or five recent difference makers. We are probably overlooking a ton of fraud that "didn't matter". But it "didn't matter" this time -- what about next time? The people (and especially organizations) involved in any election fraud should be brought to justice.

Too much wisdom here when we can just go back in our corners. This thread is a get out to vote thread. I hope no one is still voting but an unwatched poll counter could be. Don't put down the Machines. Tammany Hall or the Dailey's from Chicago could be making a comeback. It probably won't make a difference in this election, but since we knew with all of the late voting changes, and irregularities in several states (courts changing the legislative laws to match the pandemic, etc.) that counting votes would be slower than usual and we need to take the time to get it right. Each state has a month before they have to certify the votes.

A TON? I don’t think the evidence supports that. I did some research and while election fraud certainly does exist, I’m not naive, the rate at which it occurs is very small.

How can you possibly do "some research" on something unknown? We can't know if there is fraud -- or the extent of it -- if we don't have honest wide spread formal investigations into it.

I notice you tend to post out of context or fake headlines that are anti-right wing. Have you noticed this as well?

Not “executed”, but “legally put to death”. What do they call it when you are placed in front of a firing squad?

                              • I can't relate because I am not a mental slave to politicians. But I am happy for all of the liberals and progressives who now feel 'freed' and 'liberated' from the tyranny that was the Donald Trump administration. And I'm not saying this applies to anyone on this board. But just looking at some of the sentiments across the country, I really had no idea Trump kept them in such a voluntary state of mental imorisonment.
