  • NBA embraces China and CCP

i didn’t know where to put this because the topic stating “NBA embraces BLM doesn’t fit”.

NBA store allows 'Kill cops' and anti-semitic messages over #FreeHongKong

Last month, the NBA approved the idea to allow players to wear a jersey with a personalised message related to any social cause on the back. However, the NBA store does not allow sites to customise jerseys with any message they want. Pointed out by fans on social media, the NBA lets people create jerseys with words like 'KillCops' while banning people to input the words 'FreeHongKong'. Along with these words, anti-semitic phrases like 'Burn Jews' can also be printed on a customisable jersey. Fans also pointed out that the words 'F**kHongKong', which contain the same amount of letters, are allowed while 'FreeHongKong' are banned. The NBA is yet to make a comment on the issue.

Evidently they have reversed their policy that was being questioned by law makers after a backlash. Lebron (and many other NBAers) calls out his own country and then he makes decisions helping the CCP who abuses Muslims into Concentration Camps, and beat down their own people (just look up Tiannenman Square). How does the NBA players, Nike, and the NBA executives make these policies?

The idea that they allow "Kill Cops" jersies to be printed to people who order them is crazy as well.

The NBA appears to have reversed course after critics pointed out that customers cannot print "FreeHongKong" when ordering custom gear on its online store, further increasing scrutiny of the league's close tie to China.

We have some really, really big NBA fans on here who get quiet very quickly when negative news hits regarding some of their favorite players. Stop hiding and Stand up and be counted.

        https://www.nytimes.com/video/world/...labor-ppe.html

China uses slave labor ( Uighurs who are Chinese Muslims who are put on trains and forced to work camps) to make PPE that they ship/sell to the world. It helps them with world public relations as well as helping their economy.

It appears that UK, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, etc. are teaming up with America to confront China regarding their human rights summit.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Meanwhile in China in June (this summer), Nike, and NBA players support and run Chinese basketball skills camps for youth in China. The players and Nike spend their Caronavirus summer with Chinese business as usual in basketball in a Totalitarian country while referring to the United State Democracy as a Totalitarian country. How hypocritical.

            Doesn't matter.

If they hate our President they must be good.

So perhaps they are holding up Western culture as the benchmark for the rest of the world. It never is a bad idea to give them a taste of our culture, perhaps they will want to be more like us.

Not only that, it gives our great American corporations a chance to expand markets and make money.

Little off topic, but since I lived in Houston, I once had a cat named Meow Ming. He was a great basketball player and ambassador for the NBA, especially in China.

Nothing wrong with reaching out to China, but that’s not what’s happening. They refuse to denounce China, while at the same time, publicly support cultural Marxism in the US. Meanwhile, China is rounding up its citizens, blindfolding them and marching them onto trains. The trains go to forced labor camps. Those that can’t work, well, China extracts a profit from them in other ways.

Let’s all praise China for their western values!

We thought 20 years ago or so that they would change to American values, but the Chinese government/economy are actually "Controlled Capitalism".

I was listening to 4* General Jack Keane this morning, and he said that China is the most aggressive geo-political country in the world today. They want to have control of the world and know what is happening in the world through their technology companies.

He said our companies who operate in China should know that through their "Controlled Capitalism" the Chinese government can take control away from any company they want to at any time they want to.

They just basically strong-armed Hong Kong in view of the entire world. This 5 months after deliberately not containing a serious respiratory virus. These maneuvers appear to be provocative in nature, and whatever fondness they have had for America is long gone. I don't believe they've played their final hand yet, either.

China runs a hybrid system this world has never seen before. On one hand it is extremely Capitalistic, on the other hand it is extremely Communistic. They separate business and social issues with a fine toothed comb. They learned very well from the USSR... you can't go full Commie. They are essentially harnessing our secret sauce with an iron fist right behind it. Only a very disciplined and humble society could flourish under that kind of rule and the Chinese people are perfect. Replace the Chinese with Americans and you'd have a Civil War in 2 weeks.

China is VERY dangerous. The second they get serious about their military is the second the countdown will begin for our eventual war with them. That will be the leading indicator. They don't have a 1/4 of the military Russia had in their heyday, yet they have magnitudes more in economic power. They could begin a program to match our military might tomorrow. It would take them 20 years once they got serious about it, but at that point, we would no longer be assured victorious. It would be a world war with: China, N. Korea, Russia, Syria, Iran, Pakistan Vs. Israel, India, UK, some of the Euro Union, Can, Aussie, and the United States. It would be the mother of all wars. Armageddon if you will. The battle of Megiddo. But would Jesus be there? That would be cool.
