It was fascinating to watch. She was no "high-yellow" gal either. 100% legit black girl. But tons of "class". Sexy accent too!

There's been quite a bit of effort over the years at Wichita State to mend the fences of the African and Afro-American community.

Race relations are a complicated issue across the entire globe.

I've even seen segregation behavior (based on color) demonstrated in groups of animals. Maybe it's instinctual that races divide. Maybe it was necessary for survival long ago.
I married a brown woman. I don’t see segregation. I also went to school and was friends with all races in the 70’s. I don’t see what you’re talking about. I see poor people who’ve sometimes, maybe often not utilized education to its fullest extent. Victim hood doesn’t cut it. You sound like a brainless idiot which you probably are.

I actually have a long-time friend that married an Afro-American woman. He will make racist comments at the drop of a dime. It's almost as if he is unconsciously "apologizing" for his interracial relationship by acting overtly racist with humor and such. Figure THAT one out. Always made me kind of uncomfortable to be totally honest. He's a really nice guy though in every other respect.

It proves the point: just because a white man will lay down with a black woman (or vice-versa) does not mean he/she lacks a racist heart. I think slave owners have proven that theory sufficiently.

But back to my original question of which you appear to not have fully grasped as evidenced by your irrational emotional outburst: Is the impulse to segregate based on color, creed, or nationality an evolved trait? Are we fighting against our human nature? Is there something on the genetic level that our biology understands far better than our minds?

The only emotional thing was that you are a brainless idiot. I still don't see what you claim to see. Poor people don't live in my neighborhood but black and brown people do. There are racists (pretty small statistic by now) but not systemic racism.

This is a great point. It is more about socioeconomic backgrounds and what people choose to do about it, and less about race in my opinion. I think there is an inherent political push to make it about race. Nobody can help the circumstances they are born in to and raised and it is absolutely more work to achieve life goals, but using any of that as a crutch or relying on this victim mentality I will never understand.

I want to be careful not to doxx myself, but I was in a room in Wichita considering a significant real estate investment in Chicago with national retailers filling the space, way back when people went to retailers for **** they needed. It was a no brainer as these things go, beautiful development. Certain parties had to be convinced that there was "pride of ownership" in the surrounding neighborhood and sufficient buying power. Joking that we needed bulletproof vests for our due diligence trip. As if the REIT
and Target and Home Depot with their legion of analysts hadn't thought of considering whether there were any paying customers.

No offense BOBB, but I doubt that Cullors, Garza, and Tometi are in the business of Capitalism. They are self identified as trained Marxists who have been trained by Venezuela dictator Maduro, and others who only have interest in Socialism Venezuela, Cuba, etc. style.

Opportunity Zones as envision by Robert Woodson that I mentioned yesterday, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Trump and many others are what would lift up the fortunes of the disadvantaged quickly. Strong family structures that encourage high expectations are also important as an American value as Wufan mentioned are also important.

Chicago cops targeted to be killed. This is a sad byproduct of the violence in Democrat cities, and Chicago. It’s open season on the law.
