          • Watched "Fool's Gold" last night. It's from 2008 and not very good at all. Matthew McConaughey is the star, but he can't save it. It's about diving for sunken treasure. Kate Hudson is the female lead, and she cannot act or look good. There's a nice little part for Ray Winstone but that's not enough to make one wanna watch it again.

The best McConaughey work I’ve ever seen (outside of his Dazed and Confused lines) was a anthology on HBO titled “True Detective”. He and Woody Harrelson were phenomenal together. He was also decent in “We Are Marshall”.

I thought he was also solid in ‘Contact’ with Jody Foster. I really liked that thought provoking movie.

                  • The Lincoln Lawyer is a good MM flick. "Mud" isn't too bad.

                      • What’s the best coming of age high school movie?

                        Sixteen Candles
                        Dazed and Confused
                        Breakfast Club
                        Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
                        Fast Times at Ridgemont High
American Graffitti (technically post high school)
                        Other?

I stayed away from sports themed movies.
