  • Your best movies

Inspired to create a topic for this by KungWu.

    In no particular order:

    Shawshank Redemption
    The Matrix
    Joker
    Last of the Mohicans
    Scent of a Woman
    Goodfellas
    Fight Club
    Signs
Pulp Fiction/Reservoir Dogs (can’t pick just one)
    Forest Gump

Edit: I was inspired by WstateU, and not KungWu. Should have fact checked.

I need to rewatch it to see if it's still one of the greats, but when I was young I thought Dead Poets Society was pretty tremendous.

Last of Mohicans is on my list as well, but didnt want to repeat. Love Pulp Fiction and R.D. as well.

              My baker's dozen...

Shawshank Redemption (watched it numerous times)
Schindler's List (wonderful movie everyone should see)
Braveheart (Mel knocked it out of the park)
              Titanic (James Cameron nailed it)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (this one hits pretty close to home with the amount of time I spend on Shockernet)

Raiders of the Lost Ark (one of Speilberg's best)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (had me believing)
              Gladiator (powerful and moving)
              Platoon (riveting)
              The Graduate (Oh, Mrs. Robinson)
Wizard of Oz (ties into to current politics; wicked, cowardly, brainless heartless covers both sides of the isle)
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (a great movie that everyone should see)
Charlie Chaplin in The Gold Rush (one of Ross and my favorites back in the day)

                    I'm going brain dead, Hoosier's is up there also... guess it's a baker's dozen + 3.

Every time I see The Patriot on I have to watch it.

12 Angry Men is an oldie but goodie.

The Patriot... that's another great one. Gabriel (Health Ledger -RIP) was fantastic.

Here's a sleeper for some of the older crowd.

Shenandoah, with Jimmy (James) Stewart... a powerful ending scene (not this).
