    • Kansas teacher sues district over preferred pronouns policy - https://www.kansas.com/news/local/ed...259235995.html

A Kansas middle school teacher who was disciplined for refusing to use a student’s preferred first name and gender pronouns is suing the school district.

Fort Riley Middle School math teacher Pamela Ricard said in a federal lawsuit filed Monday that the Geary County School District violated her constitutional rights and did not accommodate her Christian beliefs when it suspended her for three days.
Ricard, who has taught at the school since 2005, was reprimanded and suspended in April 2021 for addressing a student as “miss” to avoid using the student’s preferred first name after Picard was told that the student used he/him pronouns.

Ricard believed addressing the student as “Miss (legal/enrolled last name)" respected the student while also upholding Ricard's religious convictions, according to the lawsuit.

A school counselor had told Ricard the student preferred a first name different from his legal and enrolled name. The student had never told Ricard of the preference, but a classmate told Ricard the student preferred he/him pronouns, according to the lawsuit, filed by Kriegshauser Ney Law Group.

The suit says Ricard believes that God assigns gender at birth and any policy requiring her to use language that is different from the student's biological sex “actively violates Ms. Ricard's religious beliefs.”

Neither the school nor the district had a formal policy on gender pronouns at the time. Ricard was suspended under the district's bullying and diversity and inclusion policies.

A week after her suspension, the middle school principal sent staff new training and protocol materials requiring them to use students' preferred names and pronouns.

            Yes.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

                • Okay, I might have gone too far. Should I impose a self ban?

This kind of thinking (punish anyone who disagrees) is precisely what Russia doesn't want in their backyard. New world order? No, there's another word for it...

The attempt to redefine gender biology is the most alarming recent trend and examples in liberal thinking, and almost exclusively (including some or maybe many blue dog democrats), democrats are going along with their liberal wing. Conservative democrats (and some libertarians) are giving into all forms of liberalism that we used to agree on. I used to like to see compromise with alternate views, but these types of radical views keep me from wanting to see compromise with differing Points of View. It just seems like giving one inch to the other side results in giving in too much, and therefore unforeseen consequences.

                        • I wonder what the point of all of this really is. When I see it, while the trolling is funny, it's one of the most confusing things logically.

Real women's rights advocates should be fuming mad at this circus, but are curiously silent. Which tells me that it is less about rights and just about political power to the leftward side.

This topic alone, if universities really were about critical thinking, could be dissected to a large degree. But that would require an honest debate from a true intellectual standpoint based on logic as opposed to emotion. But emotion rules this topic, so I root for trolling and taking it all the way to it's conclusion:

The US women's national soccer team being dudes dressed in wigs like in Ladybugs.

But I will accept watching a team from say, Iran, made up of dudes beat the USWNT in the world cup and the woke USWNT grin and bear it.

I didn't make final cut for the USWNT U-20 squad last year (coaching staff gave me feedback about progesterone or testosterone levels or something). Anyway they gave me more chemicals and I'm going to go for U-19 this summer. Stay tuned!

There is great significance to the passage of time in terms of what you need to do.
