There's only one candidate willing to cut all those programs. But we're told he's not electable.

The only electable ones are those who won't touch any of those programs for fear of voter backlash.

We've made far too many trips through the buffet line. It's time for a diet.

President can't raise or cut the budget without the Senate/House being on board. Really all the president can do is provide leadership and direction (and hopefully stability) and not be afraid to use his veto.

The real problem with Paul is not fiscal conservativeness, it is everything else beyond that scares most people.

Who are these "electable ones" you speak of - I have not seen one yet this year?

Do you think the majority of politicians have the stomach? There will be a lot of 10 year plans, but it is all a charade. There is no stomach, so there will be a restocking of the buffet.

I understand what the president can and can't do. But they do have a pulpit and the veto pen. If the president doesn't have much say, why are they always unveiling budget, jobs and other plans? The president has much sway and sets policy that Congress takes into serious consideration.

Just watch, listen and read the media. They will tell you. Like the Fox News (or one of the major networks) that just did a poll asking which of three candidates have the strongest campaign. They included the candidates running 1, 2 and 4 in the polls. Want to guess who they left out?
