Yikes. If Trump said this we would hear about it non-stop for weeks and months.

Their -ahem- russia policy was a conscious decision with "scorched earth" implications, NO DOUBT! That's been obvious for the last 24-30 months.

Gonna say, if it's a "shooting civil war", I'm glad to be on the side of the NRA.

          Cold will appreciate this one...

There's an easy solution to the current political divide; you merely offer up a trade. One hot-button issue for another. The Republicans give the Dims stricter background checks and no FFL-free gun show sales in exchange for new legislation reiterating the 2nd Amendment and declaring there will never be gun confiscation or selective banning for all eternity. Another trade could be guaranteed 1st trimester abortion (legal rights, not taxpayer funded) and a slight expansion of Medicaid while dismantling 'BumCare and allowing private insurance to operate as before with greater free-market efficiencies put in place.

See how easy CB fixes things?

Now the reason they WON'T do this is because they thrive on a divided country. It's what brings people to the polls. If politicians actually did their jobs they would be quickly commoditized - becoming interchangeable government clerks (which was likely the original intended purpose of their position after the founding). What you have today is rabble-rousing wannabees who've used politics for financial and celebrity gain. This goes for both sides and is truly deplorable. A politician should be similar to clergy in that it's a mission, not a golden parachute.

I'm okay with a Civil War as long as the politicians are on the front lines for each warring faction. They are the ones that created this mess after all. Behind them would be the media personalities.
