Models seem to be reversing the trend of moving snow to the west. Looking more like this is SE Kansas/MO blizzard. Could be another overhyped event that "fails" again for Wichita.

        Yep, more than likely.

European model still give wichita almost .7 inch of QPF which is enough for a good 6-7 inches.

        We will see what happens.

Sorry, I've never trusted European's. This is all a conspiracy to sell overstocked snow shovels and ice melt. :D

I'm looking at the precipitable water and not seeing anything close to that and don't see any way it is going to increase.

Be lucky if we get 3 inches IMO.

Maybe an underexaggeration but still, things are certainly up in the air.

We may only get 3-4 inches of snow in Wichita, but its safe to say we didn't miss the brunt of the storm by very much.

Agreed, Move us 50 miles east and it is a different story.

Heck, here in El Do it might be a different story.

I will say the wind is hellacious and creating some intersting drifts around here this morning.

Got 6 inches here south of El Dorado.

Average drifts of about 18 inches.

Got a couple drifts that are 2-3 feet though.

Should get to 7 to potentially 8 inches here before its all said and done.

My front yard is above my ankles. Drifts as high as 3 feet in some areas of Benton.

National Weather Service here in Wichita has put out this graphic. Seems very accurate.

How in the hell do you accurately measure snow on the ground with the damn wind blowing it everywhere?
