They'll have to stop Charles and Jones which I don't see them doing.
I completely disagree, this is a HUGE game, Chiefs fans should be pumped for this game, we win this game and we take complete control over the division.
I didn't say it wasn't a big game or we shouldn't be pumped to play Oakland. Just said that every Chiefs fan I know isn't what I would call excited about where we are as they see our weakness and know we aren't as strong as some want to think. Oakland isn't either. We both will benefit from easy schedules and a crappy division. I was speaking in the overall sense of things and not just this game.

2 Raider fans, Omar and Jose, get into a car. Who is going to drive?

How would this not be a big win for the Chiefs? It seems to me that this is one of the biggest games for both teams in a while. Your team is 5-2 and your not excited about them? Yeah, you've had a weak schedule but how could you not be excited? All the Chiefs fans i've talked to are completely excited for how the season has gone so far, i've even seen somethin about the super bowl being posted by one of the Chiefs fans on this board.

It's a HUGE game and it would be a BIG win for either team. Oakland has a chance to be a half game out of first place going in to there bye week, or the Chiefs can build there division lead. Seems pretty big...

I think that Sub said that KC would only win 6 or less this year and had a poor draft class. Only a game away from that. I gave myself a little room with 6-8 wins and I hope that I'm wrong too. I have a little hope that I may be wrong and they may win more.

I said 6 with 8 being a success. Defense has been better than I expected. The schedule still sucks so I'm not getting my hopes up. This is NOT a Super Bowl team. That's just crazy talk. We may be able to win the West with an average team. That says more about the division than it does the Chiefs. I'm happy things are better than many expected, but me, and those I talk to aren't getting carried away with expectations. It's fun to finally see the team winning and competing. It's a good step.

As far as the draft goes I said it was unexciting. Berry has been playing well. Moeaki (sp) has been a pleasant surprise. Arenas and McCluster as well. I still don't see why anyone should have been overly excited about things at the time. We'll see how they work out in the long run. But this team still has a ways to go before they're a legit contender.

The fact that you didn't understand how good Berry, Moeaki, Arenas, and McCluster were on draft day does not mean that those who had paid attention to college football didn't have very good reason to be excited by those guys.

The reason people were so excited about the draft is that most of us aren't in the least bit surprised by the success those players have had. That included a large number of respected NFL analysts, by the way.

I don't follow college football closely, but those I know that do thought they'd be alright but nothing special. Outside of Berry that is.

I was predicting 4-6 wins and I'm happy to admit I was wrong. I think the success of this season is attributed to how bad the NFL is this year. You can call it parity if you want to, but I just think every team is below average. Who are the best teams? Colts? Pats? Ravens? Steelers? None of them have been playing great football and the Ravens should've lost to the worst team in the league. The other teams have had their fair share of lapses also. The Chiefs, Raiders and the Bucs all did a complete 180 on last season and I don't think it's because of amazing draft classes and the players stepping up. Is that part of it? Sure. Do I think that's the real reason? Not at all.

I don't think the Chiefs are good but I don't think it'd be a huge stretch to see them getting to the Super Bowl this year. They have such an easy schedule, throw in a couple of losses from the top teams and they could easily get a game or two at Arrowhead in the playoffs, after that, anything can happen.

Kendrick Lewis our 5th round safety has been a nice surprise as well.

                          You can say that again.

I will say that he and Berry back there with Flower, Carr and Arenas have potential.

Dorsey has finally shown himself to be a player. He's gotten a lot of pressure.

Jackson is still considered a major mistake by me. But I'll try to give him another year or so to show something. I won't be holding my breath.

Chiefs need to find a LB to replace Vrabel. He's solid and does what they need him to but he's getting old. I hope that's a primary focus in the next draft.

DJ has finally shown up as well as Belcher. They've been a pretty effective tandem in the middle.

I think that the 3 needs to look at going into next year (either draft or free agency) are increased depth at outside linebacker, a true nose tackle (Ron Edwards has done a good job, but he isn't getting any younger and even he isn't a prototype 3-4 nose tackle), and improving the wide receiver core.

I agree with that. But you know I have to throw in looking at QB as well. :D

I have to agree with TMH. Outside LB, Left End, Right Tackle, and the #1/2 Wide receiver can all be improved. Dorsey has shown some improvement, and Shaun Smith is just outplaying Tyson Jackson. I would give TJ one more year then I would call it a mistake. It takes 2-3 years for a defensive player to get adjusted into NFL play(ex. Brandon Flowers, Derrick Johnson)

As for Cassel, give him some time. He has been playing solid the past few weeks. He has put a minimum on his mistakes and allowed the offense to work. After all, starting QB's do not grow on trees.
