Why are they throwing 5 yard passes and running the ball down 2 possessions with 3 minutes to go? Is Cassel really that bad? .... Nevermind, don't answer that.

Haley's playcalling has been suspect this game. What would have that last drive looked like if he didn't call for the 4th and goal to go for it in the 1st? One possession game. And who knows what happens if KC doesn't give Indy the ball after the failed onside to start the game at the 30. And the short passes and runs at the end were just hard to watch.

What did we find out today? Kansas City is an improved football team. Their defense is pretty salty. Their offense could be challenged by Wichita Heights.

Haley's playcalling has been suspect this game. What would have that last drive looked like if he didn't call for the 4th and goal to go for it in the 1st? One possession game. I would rather have Haley being aggressive, especially on the road, but that is just me.

It clear they lack some play makers on offense. If your suppose to be the #1 WR for a team - you have to make that catch in the end zone.

Your offensive line at least has to try...and at times they are not. It is hard to say if Cassel is really a starting QB in the NFL, but his accuracy sucks.

That is true. Was looking forward to this game this week. And it was a good game that they had a chance to win. If they convert in the first half and Bowe make the catch.....

Cassel proved very accurate when he had protection, and receivers who catch the ball. 3 straight drops on the one drive reflects on his accuracy, but all 3 should have been caught.

There's a difference between being aggressive and being stupid IMO. I dunno how often onside kicks are attempted on the first play of the game, but I gotta think if it would happen more if it were successful. It doesn't happen a lot because it's a high risk move, even if it surprises the defense. It's a cute move but I think it was a little too cute. If it were against Buffalo, that's one thing. But Indy? :roll:

Since when did Haley start calling the plays? And I like Haley being aggressive instead of "Herm-like" mentality. That 4th down was all on Weis, you can't throw the ball with Cassel as your QB. He can't make any decisions when the pressure is on. You have to outscore the colts to win. Today was an exception, Manning had an awful game.

If you check out www.Advancednflstats.com you will find out that the suprise onside kick is a good gamble. Probably was worth a gamble playing on the road where your expected to lose.

Of course now the Chiefs are probably done on surprise onside kicks for the season since they won't be a surprise anymore.

Yeah I agree. Don't leave points on the field early in the game. Even in this game, the complexion of the game is changed if they take the 3 points.
