KC Chiefs - Preseason Edition

This eerily reminds me of the Royals talk in March/April. I'm also baffled on "the improved play at the end of the year" comment as well. Another case of false hope?

Why don't you waste some of that energy on yourself being wrong? I'm not the one who had hope going in for the Royals.

I wish we could've made a bet on the Royals. I don't feel as confident about the Chiefs. The NFL is a bit more quirky than MLB. It wouldn't shock me if they won 7 games but I think 5 is realistic. And that's the key word... "realistic".

Some definites:
1.) They will not finish .500 or better
2.) They will not make the playoffs
3.) They won't score more than 15 ppg.

Don't get mad at me for Kansas City sports sucking it up.

What has "one of the best minor league systems" gotten them? How has that translated into the mother club? It hasn't. That's a problem. It doesn't matter if you have the best minor league system if it doesn't translate to the mother club. And the problem is, this reasoning is stated over and over and over and over again by Royals fans on a yearly basis. It's just a tired false hope. But yeah Omaha! Yeah Northwest Arkansas!

Considering how bad the system was before Moore it takes time and most fans who pay attention to that know what's going on. When he was hired they made no secret to the fact that they were going to start from the ground up. He's only had 3 drafts and done quite well according to the experts. The next couple years will tell us for sure but signs are pointing up for the Royals.

The Chiefs on the other hand....I'm not sure what their plan is for the future and one reason I'm not high on them.
