He just took down a nice hand and is 12th of 19.

He's smack dab in the middle of things. Everyone behind him is really short stacked, especially with the broken tables until they lose 1 more and redraw for 2.

Everyone ahead of him has a decent stack, but he's back in contention.

My guess is he got a little frisky when he flopped the nuts and someone moved all in on him for the easy double up holding the 4-6.

His chip count has been fluid of late.

Brandon just took a nice pot from Scott Clements. We'll see if he outplayed him, but that is impressive no matter the cards he held.

Scott has 2 WSOP bracelets and over $4 million in tournament earnings.

Down to 18. They'll redraw for the final 2 tables now. Dinner break in about 2-3 hours and we should have our nine by early morning.

There could be early fireworks now.

3 of the most accomplished players left are amongst the shortest stacks. Scott Clements, Michael Mizrachi and Hasan Habib are 17th, 15th and 18th respectively.

The money will mean nothing to these guys (at least not the difference between 313k and 1m).

Not wanting to be blinded off they are extremely likely to be aggressive in these spots, making them ripe to be picked off.

Brandon could easily find himself on the short stack with 15 or 14 left in a matter of a few minutes if things get lively and he sits back and watches.

Brandon is at the ESPN feature table. Scott Clements is gone, ahem, so we are down to 17.

2 more gone and Brandon is in 11th out of 15.

Problem is he is getting really short stacked.

I could see them down to 10 in a couple of hours BUT dinner break is coming up soon. He is going to have to make a bunch of decisions for all his chips soon.

Still hanging in there with 15 people left he's in 11th place, but quite aways behind 10th. Current payout level is 1/2 million.

Even a double up would keep him in 11th.

What would you do in his spot Marty? Hang on and try to hit the next level at 635k or play hard and hope you get lucky and try to win the tourney?

He's done well in similar situations in the past just waiting for a hand and letting someone put him all in. For him, I assume $600k+ or $500k isn’t really going to make much of a difference. He's playing to win and I'd probably do the same. People haven't been afraid to call all ins so far, so he better make sure he has a hand.

Well he made the final table. Problem is they need to lose 1 more before they break until November.

Brandon has made some mistakes of late and is seriously short stacked.

It will take a small miracle to make it the one more spot.

Still, worst thing that happens is he's getting a satchel full of 100s totalling 635k in about an hour.

Brandon got the double up he needed. Still 10th but he has a few more chips.

These final 10 could be playing for awhile until they lose one. Brandon has managed to win a few chips and pull himself almost even with 9th place Michael Mizrachi. Others at the table are playing pretty aggressive preflop, so it might just be a matter of time till 2 people get big hands and go all in preflop.

                            Incredibly they are still playing.

Break time. Blinds are 250k-500k with a 50k ante. There are now 4 players between 8-9m in chips.

Brandon is 9 of 10, finally moving off the shortest stack. He has nursed the short stack like a pro somehow.

Someone else was all in just before the break but chopped the pot as both had AK.

He now has a great chance to advance. And they are all dead tired.

Well it finally happened. Brandon shoved with AK and was called by QQ.

No help came and he's out in 10th. Great run.
