• More and more, it sounds as if Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel should be ready for Kansas City's regular-season opener. Cassel does have the strained medial collateral ligament, but the organization believes that when the lights go on, he will be there. And you know who else will be there? Tyler Thigpen. Despite speculation that the Chiefs could deal Thigpen, they will not. Nor does it seem they ever were willing to do so. Thigpen will be on the Chiefs' opening day roster.

I hope they are right about Cassel. He needs to get out there & earn his paycheck.

Since it took 3 plays for Cassel, I'll set the O/U at 3 for Brodie. I think the Chiefs should enlist the services of Bishop Carrolls offensive line, they could do a better job at this point.

hasnt got hurt all preseason, and he took a big shot the first game and popped right back up.

I wonder if whomever takes the first snap against Baltimore would be able to obtain proper insurance from say, Lloyd's of London, against injury?

That QB is going to be under assault like no other human being on this earth. I would not want to switch places with him.

OMG, if Thigpen starts against baltimore, i will not watch, that guy is horrible. He completed just as many passes to the rams as he did to the chiefs.

With the O-line we have in place now, anyone who steps back to throw is going to have someone in his face or chasing him down. I don't think it matters who you have back there throwing, they are going to miss the mark much of the time. Unless, you can find a quarterback with a quick draw--which I don't think we have right now.

Hopefully someone will get cut because that team is stacked at the tackle position, and we sign him and start him at RT week 1.

Our Defense actually looked pretty solid this whole preseason. I think someone mentioned our 1st string starting D only allowed 13 points the whole preseason.
