I felt pretty good with Zack pitching but our damn defense handed the game to you guys in the 8th. And then that stupid bird had to take away our last chance in the 10th.

That was an awesome finish. The look on Coco Crisp's face was priceless. I couldn't tell it hit the bird in real time, I had to watch the replay a few times to even see it.

Now it's back to interleague. I really wouldn't mind if we could just get rid of interleague play completely, or maybe confine it to one rivalry series a year. I don't like seeing the Royals play the Reds or the Indians play the Cardinals. It looks wrong to me.

I'm torn on interleague. But I do enjoy the KC/STL matchup.

In real time I thought Coco over ran the ball or that maybe I missed it taking a funky hop or something. Then I saw his expression and then he shot at the birds and I thought maybe it hit one. It was pretty telling on the replay when the bird just fell to the ground.

You're saying that for certain that run wouldn't have scored?

I watched the highlights at mlb.com. The announcers said it wouldn't have mattered. And after watching it myself, there could have been a decent play at it, but it wouldn't have been in time.
