6 ideas to give the Royals a jolt

    1. Platoon Jacobs & Guillen at DH.
    2. Start Maier in RF until Gordon returns.
    3. Return Farnsworth to the setup role.
    4. Keep Zack on normal rest.
    5. Fix the SS position.
    6. Flip Coco & DeJesus in the batting order.
He had me until #6. I am not convinced that DeJesus is a good leadoff hitter. Any other ideas?

I'm not sure what to do with DeJesus, as whatever has been tried this year hasn't worked. I'd be willing to give it a shot. However, Coco has been decent.

Any way we could trade Guillen and find a SS?

When Gordon returns he'll take over 3rd. Teahen will have to do something. Callaspo hasn't been hitting quite as well as he was early but he's still got decent numbers. I do like Maier in the OF. He has good range and a strong arm. And he's done alright at the plate. He could really turn into a nice player.

I still have a hard time believing that all our bullpen struggles are because Soria has been out. Farnsworth has been pitching pretty well after his horrible start. Cruz has struggled a little lately but I like him. Wright needs to pitch as often as he can. I think he could really help if they'd let him pitch a couple innings when needed. Getting Tejada back would be nice as well. I like Bale but will not make a decision on him until he gets a few more appearances.

We still need a number 5 starter. Meche and Greinke are set. Banny and Davies are good. They've had some ups and downs but give us a chance most the time. I guess what we really need is a number 3 starter. Too bad most of our minor league pitchers are still a couple years out. Pimental I had hope for but after the injury this spring....

Bloomquist needs to play as much as possible. I love that guy and he brings quite a bit to the team. Both on offense and defense.

Tug Hulett has a great story. I hope he succeeds. I don't think he's a SS though...

That's where I think Dayton Moore missed this offseason. Surely, there was a solid #3 starter that could have been acquired.

Hosmer to chat live today at 2pm It'll be interesting to hear what he has to say. I hope this kid develops like projected :D

Soria could be activated soon. He's making the trip to St. Pete.

Crisp placed on bereavement list. He'll miss the series against Tampa.

            #5 should be #1,2,3,4,5,6

DeJesus did pretty well the last few years as a lead off hitter. So good in fact they went after Coco so they could move him down the order because he was driving in runs and was really good with RISP.
If theres one guy on the roster now that i would put in that spot it would be him.

Ive mentioned #1 before. One of these guys have to go. I like Mike Jacobs. Thats the type of player I like, really emotional first one of the bench to yell and scream type. Unfortunately hes an all or nothing player and the Royals cant really work with that right now.

No qualms about #3. Still hesitant but what the heck.

Gordon. Alex Gordon needs to go to Omaha period. Not for the whole year. But let him have a month or so there to just bash the crap out of the ball then bring him up.

Maier should be in the starting RF until proven otherwise.

In the offseason, he thought the Royals had 4 solid starters in Meche, Greinke, Davies, & Hochevar. And he was hoping Ponson would work out.

An elitist KU fan would say the same thing to you about your love for WSU. If you don't like the Royals, don't read the Royals thread.

Forgot it was a 6pm start tonight. And I didn't realize TJ was back. That's good for our defense and doesn't effect much on offense.
