It's time for the IDF to conquer (yes, I mean conquer) the Gaza strip once and for all, and declare it part of Isreal once again. They should expel all people claiming to be palestinian (lower-case p). The "be nice" experiment failed, and we now know for certain it always will.

I have to agree. Israel is the only nation in the region that allows Jews to live, meanwhile, they also allow Muslims to live there.

The left thinks they’re clever saying that for every thing the Palestinians did, the Jews did something to provoke it. Meanwhile, we know that Judaism predates Islam by 1000s of years. I mean, the Temple Mount was built by Jews for crying out loud!

Israel will always be blamed for everything that happens in the region, no matter what. So they might as well reap the benefit of annexing the Gaza strip (and the West Bank as well), since they are going to be blamed for any tensions there anyway. Once annexed, they should start a deportation program, and all palestinian nomads not willing to declare allegiance to Israel should be deported to Europe (half-kidding).

Im wondering if they didn’t just station their troops in the West Bank or some other disputed territory.
It was a deception operation meant to get Hamas to respond with their anti-tank missile and mortar teams. Hamas has a complex tunnel system called the "metro" that allows them to move troops underground across Gaza with exits where they expect to defend from.

Israel knows where those tunnel and exits are and had aircraft ready to strike. So they conducted a ground offensive feint and and when the Hamas exited the tunnel to ambush the Israeli ground forces, Israel launched their attack on the "Metro" from the air (and probably from direct/indirect ground fire), but no ground troops ever entered Gaza. They believe they extracted heavy damage on Hamas "elite" forces, but are conducing BDA today to try and determine how effective.

This "Israel Strikes Hamas" topic could go political because "The Squad" hates Israel, and wants it to be annihilated. Furthermore, Biden supports Iran, Hamas, and other terrorist entities more than Israel, although Biden does try to walk a fine line between supporting Iran and the Terrorists for all (mainly democrat Jews who don't like to be anti-Israeli and democrats like their money and support) to see from a political standpoint.

                Already is splitting the democrats

A summary of National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan’s Tuesday call with his Israeli counterpart said that “He conveyed the President’s unwavering support for Israel’s security and for its legitimate right to defend itself and its people, while protecting civilians.”

“By only stepping in to name Hamas’ actions — which are condemnable — & refusing to acknowledge the rights of Palestinians, Biden reinforces the false idea that Palestinians instigated this cycle of violence,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeted on Wednesday. “This is not neutral language. It takes a side — the side of occupation.”

This is becoming a problem for Biden, who promised to put human rights at the “center” of his foreign policy. Instead, he’s finding himself calcified in the US-Israel policy of yesteryear, while his left flank on Israeli-Palestinian issues becomes ever more vocal.

“It is splitting the party,” a Democratic Senate staffer told me. “It’s splitting between those who think support for human rights includes Palestinians and those who don’t.”

Palestine has never been a country. After WWII, the allies tried to make Palestine and Israel separate geographic countries. Israel agreed and the Arabs did not. They immediately attempted to take over the proposed Israeli country and Israel immediately destroyed them and took all of what was offered up as Palestine. In 1988 they gave up some of the territory they had gained in the six days war (started by the Arabs) and the Gaza Strip was given to Palestine under the condition that Israel enforce the sea border (to prevent amassing weapons).

Here we are with the Palestinians trying to overthrow Israel again.

Why isn't the Michigan student body boycotting Biden and the Democrat Party for emboldening Hamas and rekindling tensions in Israel?

This is part of the Palestinian problem. The Palestinian Authority (Mahmoud Abbas' family) is as corrupt as Black Lives Matters (Cullors). The Squad ignores this

They are not ignoring it - let call it for what it is. The squad is antisemitic. They don't care about what is right, they only want to achieve their main objective - destroy Israel.

Another unintended consequence - the attempt to form a unity government without Netanyahu failed. A key party leader withdrew from negotiations because he called the conflict "reality-altering events". Hamas really stepped on the d&cks on this one - just over a few barricades in Jerusalem.
