  • Could we see the rise of Matt Cassel this year?

    Tom's ACL tore
Tom Brady is expected to miss the rest of the '08 season with ligament damage to his left knee.

    thanks to Bernard Pollard

Don't you think it would be ironic if Matt took Tom's job just like how Tom took Drew's job away from him?

Almost every article I've read makes it sound dirty. "lunged forward" etc... It was a very normal football play, it happens. If anything it's Brady's teamates fault for holding pollard on the ground. (I know that statement is ridiculous but is it really any more ridiculous than saying the hit was dirty?)

Brady was my starting fantasy QB. Ugh.

But how anyone (especially Randy Moss who says he didn't even see it) say it was dirty?

The dirty talk has amazed me. Is a defender just supposed to stop playing because he's been blocked to the ground? The blocker continued to keep him there and Pollard was just trying to do his job of reaching the QB. I'm sure the league will look at it because the poster boy got injured. But there's no way that could be called dirty by anyone outside of NE.

              Its Tom Brady

You would have though big Dan Dierdorf was about to break down and cry the way he was talking.
Seriously though Fox News switched to Elevated Terror alert when he went down.

LOL ;-) Quote of the day right there!

I think ESPN mentioned it but Tom Jackson said Pollard was just crawling towards him with a man on his back and it was a clean play. You could just as easily say Tom shouldn't have stepped up right to Pollard and it wouldn't have happened.

I agree 100%. The Patriots cheated, several times, and the media and the NFL is doing their best to make us forget about it.
