Here is a wish list of what the Chiefs need:

    New owner
    New GM
    New Head Coach
    New Offensive Line
    New Defense

Really what we need is a new GM, someone who can get talented players on this team, and a new Head Coach, someone who's not afraid to play the players that win games for this team (Huard). Thigpen was a joke except for the one touchdown drive. Why do we even still have him? The offensive line is absolutely terrible. It's hard for any of our quarterbacks to do anything when the defense is in the backfield by the time our QB's get the ball.

I have seen flashes of good things, but the bad things far outweigh the bad. This right now is the worst team in the NFL, and it's looking like another top 5, maybe even #1 pick in the draft next year. I'm just hoping we can beat Miami so we don't go 0-16, because I don't see us beating anyone else the way we're playing.

Yeah, espevcially since the refs are helping them win games (San Diego). :-x
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

Ugh, that was horrible. I couldn't watch to the end, it was so sickening to see a team completely ineffective against a team that was totally embarrassed last week. You have to say KC is at least one of the worst teams in the league right now, and watching that game the thought going through my head was "we need a major housecleaning from the top down." I know in the midst of the game is not the time to make that decision but I couldn't help but think if you can't find players and prepare them better than that, something needs to change. That was embarrassing, I can't imagine what the locker room was like after that...

WOW o wow, that was bad and to think i pay for season tickets for that garbage. Well to look at the bright side we are only 14 games left until we officially have the #1 pick and we can finally get our QB. Man i hope this was just a bad game from everyone. That was just plainly pathetic.

K.C. may start a new NFL fad, using their QB's like baseball.....You know, a starter, middle releaf, and a closer.........

newshock, while it's important for us to have a quarterback that can make things happen, I would be more tempted to use our first pick an on offensive lineman. Let's think about it logically, the quarterback can only do so much, if he's not getting the proper blocking from the offensive line, he has to hurry and force things, as we've seen for the past 2 years. Same goes for LJ. We all know he's a much better runner than what he's shown in the last year and 2 games of this season, the problem is, he doesn't have good blocking to run behind. I think we need to shore up the offensive line first, and then worry about getting a good quarterback. It's become more apparent that the offensive line is the bulk of our offensive problems.

Best thing that could happen to this team is 0-16:

                    - number 1 pick
                    - no more Carl
                    - no more Herm

There is some young talent on this team, but they need better leadership from the front office, better coaching on the field, and even more good young talent if the team is ever going to contend.

                    • A new owner would help too.

                      • There's nothing wrong with Clark Hunt. We knew we'd have a few rough years as we built through the draft and got younger. Peterson will be gone as soon as his contract expires.

The biggest problem I have right now is with Chan Gailey and his unimmaginative play calling and his refusal to use anything that actually worked during the preseason.

I would like to know how Huard got "hurt". I don't recall seeing anything. Maybe it was just an excuse to put him aside and let the young QB learn the game.

Run D also sucked. So far, Albert has been the better of the two first rounders and he was getting abused in the 4th.

                        • The only problem I have with Clark Hunt is that it's been well stated on several radio shows that the only thing he cares about is making more money for the franchise, and that he could care less about improving the football team. This is why, instead of having Carl go out and scout players, he has Carl working on getting college games at Arrowhead. This is what I have heard, I suppose it may not be true. And maybe Carl is doing all this on his own, I don't know. But from what I've heard, Clark Hunt has made this football franchise more about making money than winning games.

                          • Perhaps he has Carl doing things other than scouting because he figured out that he has not exactly had a good track record lately when it comes to the draft or signing free agents. Maybe he is letting his contract expire rather than fire him out of respect for the number of years he worked for LH.

I have no idea if the above statements have any accuracy, but I probably know about as much as most people who call into radio shows... nothing.

                            • Anything is possible, but it's not people that call in to the shows saying that, it's actually the people hosting the shows that are supposed to have the inside information. I sure as heck don't know what's going on, but something needs to change, and fast.

                              • Carl would never fire his best friend Herm. Only way Herm is gone is when Carl is gone & a new GM cleans house. Keep waiting for regime change.

If it`s true that Clark Hunt is only concerned about making money, you stupid Chiefs fans should quit buying tickets which is making Hunt richer.
