LJ seems to have lost a step over the past couple years. I don't know what his problem is, if he's not trying, if he doesn't care anymore, or what. But he is not the same LJ that Kansas City drafted. In my opinion, I think we'd be better off without him.

1. Offensive Line is not as good when he first emerged.
2. The Chiefs overused him those two years he carried 750 times (his body aged 3 season worth in two years).
3. At 29, for a RB he's on the backside of his career, only the best usually last beyond this age (i.e. Walter Payton, Emmit Smith, John Riggins, Marcus Allen)
82% of the Top 30 RB are 28 or younger
85% of the Top 10 RB are 28 or younger
90% of the Top 5 RB are 28 or younger

SB, all great points about LJ, can't argue with any of them. The offensive line has decreased significantly, and they did use LJ way too much in his first 2 years. I'm not sure that is so much the problem though, as the fact that he just doesn't want to be in Kansas City anymore. Maybe he's not giving 100% on some of his runs

Well im hearing Brodie is out for 2-4 weeks with a separated shoulder. We seriously should bring in Chris Sims or Culpepper.Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

The years that Johnson had his big numbers, KC had an O-line that anybody could run behind. You coulda put Mother Theresa out there and she would have had a 1,000 yard season. When the Chiefs subbed Johnson out, whoever was in there had the same kind of numbers Johnson was getting.
Chiefs should have traded Johnson the moment he became a Pro Bowler. It wasn't Johnson, it was the line. If they would have traded him when he was hot, they could have gotten something for him.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Croyles decision making has been fine this preseason and in todays game before he got injured. He took some really hard shots today and still continued to stay in there and make the throws. Looks like he has a seperated shoulder and will miss a couple of weeks but I look forward to his return as he's shown progress.
Some people will fall in love with Huard since the Chiefs have a very good shot at winning the next two games against not so good teams. Huard will not lead the Chiefs anywhere. He's been a career backup for a reason.
The play calling today by Chan Gailey was very uninspiring and left a lot to be desired. He went away from everything that worked in the running game during the preseason. I hope he corrects himself as the Chiefs will struggle more than expected on offense if he continues to call like he did today.
LJ just doesn't look the same. Sometimes I could swear he was running with his eyes closed. He has to get his act together or I hope we'll see more of the younger RBs.
Bowe HAS TO CATCH THE DAMN BALL!!! He had as many drops as he did catches today and all but one was costly.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I guess Adam Schefter from NFL Network is reporting the chiefs have contacted Chris Simms.Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

So have the Pats.
In the grand scheme of things I hope this doesn't derail the Croyle experiment because once and for all the organization needs to know if this guy can play or not or cut bait...Then again if you're always hurt then that may be all the info you need to base a decision upon.

I agree with you.
I think his decison making just comes from hearing it from everybody that hes not going to be any good and hes rushing things. This is something he can work on.
My knock on him since we drafted him is hes hurt all the time. We saw that last year and know 3 quarters into this year hes hurt and sitting on the bench.
brodie is the wrong man for this job overall
