KC outscored by CWS 22-2 the past three games. And for only the 6th time in MLB history, a team hits four consecutive homeruns . . . off of KC today.

Deadline deals get done again. The Royals signed both Eric Hosmer and Tim Melville to secure all of thier top draft picks.

In other news, Kyle Davis has been optioned to Omaha as Fulchino has been recalled.

2nd base is up for grabs. Grud is probably out for the rest of the year and it sounds as if he may not be a Royal next season. That's kinda sad as I really like the guy and he does add to the lineup and gives a veteran presence, but KC needs to find the future there. German will get a shot but I don't see him as anything more than a filler while they groom someone. Callaspo will get a chance if he stops drinking and driving and produces. Aviles could be the man if TJ ever learns to hit or the bring in another SS. There's also a couple of MiLB guys that may get a look this winter.
