This was on the frontpage of MSN.com. Wichita rated the #1 city to live in from MSN based on bang for your buck. Interesting read

Dang it, you beat me to it. I kind of figured there would be a Kansas town/city in there somewhere since Kansas is so much cheaper than most anywhere else in the country, but I didn't really expect Wichita to be #1.

Cons: Some complain of a lack of things to do if you're not a sports fan. Public transportation is limited. Reilly and others on Sperling's site complain about the poorly planned roads and freeway system. And it's an hour and a half away from the nearest large city.

Oh im sorry they were talking about harrisburg PA

New convention center? Are they talking about the arena? C-II is nearly 40 years old and the Expo Hall addition is about 20. Even the Hyatt has been around nearly a decade now.

I've always thought it strange that more companies haven't relocated here to take advantage of lower property prices and cost of living.

Oh, I forget. Entertainment, "culture" and taking other people's money to fund your pet causes are the holy grails of a happy life.

          Check out the cons for Omaha: ". . . conservative attitudes . . ."

(Yes, I'm on a conservative rampage today on the off-topic board! )
