Dang it, you beat me to it. I kind of figured there would be a Kansas town/city in there somewhere since Kansas is so much cheaper than most anywhere else in the country, but I didn't really expect Wichita to be #1. -
Cons: Some complain of a lack of things to do if you're not a sports fan. Public transportation is limited. Reilly and others on Sperling's site complain about the poorly planned roads and freeway system. And it's an hour and a half away from the nearest large city.

New convention center? Are they talking about the arena? C-II is nearly 40 years old and the Expo Hall addition is about 20. I've always thought it strange that more companies haven't relocated here to take advantage of lower property prices and cost of living.
Oh, I forget. Entertainment, "culture" and taking other people's money to fund your pet causes are the holy grails of a happy life. :roll:
