I love the way the Royals are running the bases today, really putting pressure on the defense and taking advantage of Pudge not being behind the dish.

Just watch, now that I got everything working nothing will happen the rest of the game. Which I'll still take as that means victory.

I would guess he was due for a breather. He's been playing pretty well and I haven't heard anything about injury.

Then upon looking at the lineup, it appears that Buck, Grud and DeJesus also got the day off.

I've read where Hillman thinks his injury has actually helped him at the plate.

I didnt even look at the lineup.

Its nice to know our B team can do well against an inferior opponent.

                I keed I keed.

                But seriously

How in the heck is this lineup (sans Gordon, Grudz, DDJ) puttiing up 7 runs in 4 innings?

                  Rhetorical question. Don't answer it!

                  If it ain't broke . . .

I saw that also, he thinks it is keeping him from pulling off the ball, which he was doing really badly earlier in the season.

Inter League play starts this weekend, any thoughts do you all like/dislike inter league play or does nobody even think about it anymore?

One thing I like: Seeing teams that I haven't seen before in KC. One thing I wish they would change is I would like to see them flip the DH rules and use the NL rules in the AL park and the AL rules in the NL park, just to give the fans a different view of the game.

I've wondered about them doing that. I like interleague play. It is a nice change of pace agaisnt some teams you don't play every year and the Cards.

                          Down with the Cards

Count me as an interleague fan as well. It's fun to see the different match-ups. I remember seeing MacDougal strike out Bonds in The K in 2003 for a big win. The Royals always seem to do well against the NL teams. Too bad we get Florida to start off - they're playing well so far this year.

I wonder if the next time we play Detriot, the Tigers will get a sense of impending broom?

Interleague play is great. I like it.
