Love it! I think I hate the Cubs more than any sports team in the world. It's the fans really. Chicago people as a general rule suck.

I cannot wait for them to lose in the NLCS. After the billy goat in 1945, the black cat in 1969, and Bartman in the NLCS in 2003 I am absolutely stoked to see what weird pet/fan does them in in 2016.

I just hope the Cubs can win one more game against the Dodgers. The Cubs suck and have no business in this thing. That said, Casey, can you tell me what time the Dodgers play tomorrow?
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Speaking of football, did anyone catch the score of the Missouri State- UNI game?

I'm sure Casey will be here soon to argue that giving up 61 points to UNI puts the Bears somewhere between Oklahoma and Texas Tech.

Lolz. No. It was a really bad effort all the way around. And I was legitimately thinking that with UNI struggling a little bit that we might be able to sneak out of that stupid dome thingy with a win. But we weren't even close. Football is better than 2015 but still has a long, long way to go.

Hey Casey, how'd the NLCS turn out for you?

I, like most North Americans, do not have FS1 so I watched exactly zero innings of it. So in that sense, it worked out great.

Certainly I missed on my prediction and had I watched, I would have been rooting for LA but it was kind of nice to not be burdened by having to watch the NLCS this year. For most years since about 2000, October baseball has occupied way too much of my time. It was kind of nice to get outside more and watch more college football.

That can't be right. I thought FS1 was covering the Big East! :)

                      Quality MSU Bears football!

                      This is so easy.

                      • Oh, and Springpatch has FS1.

Not only do I get to make fun of Casey for being an idiot, but now he's a liar.

I don't even have cable and I get FS1 on Sling.

So, Casey, are you so cheap that you don't have cable or even Sling, or are you a liar? I'm cheap, but even I get FS1.

                        • For those that must know, you get FS1, Fox Sports Midwest and others with Sling Blue. You get all your ESPN on VIPboxtv.me

I live in Columbia and don't have it. I have cable and it is not included in the package that I have.

So you live in Columbia and don't get to watch the Cardinals, SEC or even the Big 12? If you get Fox Sports Midwest, you get FS1. If you get the SEC Network, you get FS1, it's part of the standard Fox carriage agreement.

                              Oh, then there's this:

And if you live on campus, this:

Read the following guidelines to make sure your devices work as desired. Smart TVs and Entertainment Device If you bring a Smart TV or a streaming device, be sure that it has an Ethernet port […]

Fox had a carriage dispute with Uverse, but rather than pull their networks, they black out some content. If you get anything above the most basic tier, you get FS1. If you don't get FS1, you don't get to watch your beloved Cardinals.

To answer your questions: I get to watch the Cards because I have Fox Sports Midwest. Sadly I do not have the SEC Network. I live in an apartment complex that has its own channel, etc. It has DirecTV graphics but it doesn't have their full lineup. I get kind of a weird mix. For example, I have ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic, the Golf Channel, HBO and Fox Sports Midwest yet I don't get FS1, Big Ten Network, or the SEC Network.

So yeah, I don't know what the deal is exactly. It's not a big deal because I go to sports bars to watch stuff if I want to see something on the NFL Network, FS1, BTN, or SECN. But I personally watch no Big East basketball or NLCS at home because I can't.
