Does anyone know the Royals magic number? There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Left too many runs on the field last night. Even in the tenth after the Yanks went up 5-4 on Soria, the Royals were 2nd and 3rd with no outs with Cain, Hoz, Morales, and Salvy coming up. Couldn't even push one across. Can't happen if they're expecting to stay in the race. Somebody has to be able to get the bat on the ball."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Blah, blah, blah. You know what? Life isn't fair. There are people who work in public service their whole lives who don't get to wake up in the morning and say, "I am going to try to become President simply because I have more money than God." (Further conversation can go to Politics board...but still...it's the same concept.) There are people in the local business scene who have worked hard for years who would have no chance to get a meeting with Charles Koch to find a job. I bet when Evan Wessel was figuring out his career path, he was able to get some time with Charles.
Yeah, Tim might not ever make the big leagues...but I applaud him for pursuing it. He is a competitor and wants to see if he can do it. People like him are wired differently. They motivate and satisfy themselves with competition. By all accounts, Tim has put in a lot of work to improve his ability in baseball. If it works out, great. If not, he'll move onto something else and be successful.
What aggravates me to no end are the people who get their jollies by watching other people fail. Tim can say all the right things and have the best intentions, but there will still be people crowing on social media when his baseball journey ends. Why? I have no problem criticizing people who act like jackholes, but Tim doesn't seem to be one of those types. I don't get it.
Hell, the same thing happened with the 2013-14 team. The team could say all the right things, act like wonderful citizens, and there were people who were hellbent on waiting for the Shockers to lose. Ironically as it played out, that team probably gained more respect in one loss than it did in 35 wins.
Anyway...stepping off soapbox now...78-65

Does anyone know what Teebow's magic number is?
Afterall, it is the magic number part of the season. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Big missed opportunity these last two nights, first not scoring with 2nd & 3rd no outs in the 10th, then last night blowing a 4 run lead. With the extras they managed to get shut out 10 innings after scoring 4 in the first three. And was Perez's infield single seriously the only hit after the 3rd? Ugh, can't afford to lose those to a contending team at home. Now they really need to sweep Detroit this weekend.

Cardinals are looking like a carp tossed up on the bank. Hopelessly gasping for breath as they flop around, slowly drifting into a long sleep. There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.
