If we came out and told them that there was no evidence of global warming, no one would vote down the great ideas to help the economy and the continued strength of the United States. We rely on the stupidity of the American voter. There are always places on Earth that are warming or cooling, depending on the time of year. Today the overall average temperature of all places on Earth is warming slightly. What the cause of that is anyone's guess. If there wasn't some kind of warming or cooling, eventually everywhere on Earth would have the same temperature. It might take thousands of years, but it would eventually get there.

Yea 2012 was the ALL TIME low for sea ice. The past 6 years have all been well below the mean normal from 1981-2010.

If anything, take issue with the continued discussion of bifurcation as a legitimate predictor of future climate.

To be fair, there is a 4.5 billion year difference between "ALL TIME" and "since 1979".
