Germany is my second favorite team and the one I picked to take it all. I also picked Germany to win this game 3-0.

Feeling pretty comfortable with both those predictions as of now.

I'm rooting for Portugal to beat Germany today. I always root against the Germans and a scenario with a winner is favorable for the U.S. to advance from the group as it increases the likelihood that a win and a draw will be enough.

If Germany beats Portugal by several goals, it would be good for the US in terms of goal differential.

Hard to imagine a worse half for Portugal.

I will not be shocked if the U.S. goes 0-3 in this group but the road to the round to 16 seems a whole lot easier after that half by Portugal.

Germany's subs are good too. I am surprised Khedira started over Schweinsteiger. I was Germany, I would have started Lahm at RB and Schweinsteiger at CDM.

I know you want to protect the lead, especially with not one, but now 2 big injuries (and subs used) but does anyone else feel the US side has been far too passive since Dempsey's brilliant finish 34 seconds in?

Heartbreaking but the way this half and much of the first went the U.S. is honestly lucking to be probably escaping with a draw.
