Mexico vs Cameroon Analysis: Should have been 2-0, maybe 3-0. After Mexico goes up 1 early in the second half, Cameroon continues to play their stupid 5-4-1 system for a while. Enough I almost turned off the tube. Did someone forget to tell them they are losing? Then their coach gets my text message and they put two up top with even three and four in spells and they end up peppering Mexico for the last 10 minutes of the match. Quick (but horribly delayed) Kung Wu Netherlands/Spain commentary: Spain can straight up PASS the ball. I mean the first half they were dissecting the Netherlands in their defensive and middle thirds. But the moment they crossed the attacking 3rd ... goodbye. Which leads to the second point ... if defense wins championships then watch for the Netherlands! Their defense was excellent. Chile/Australia commentary: If you are only looking at games with names on jerseys, you have missed one heck of a match! Lots of momentum swings and pretty exciting attacks going on all over the place. And the best part? Chile played aggressive and only played three on the back line for a large portion of the game, though they played with a defensive mid (or attacking stopper, hard to tell). They were playing man defense most of the time, and that was refreshing!
Bottom line is check out this game if you didn't watch it because it didn't have a big name on the jersey ... and don't be surprised if Chile makes it out of group play.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!Comment

Oh did I mention the Chileans are short? While exciting to watch with their aggressive style, they have zero aerial game. However against most teams that won't have huge consequences. If they run into Germany I suspect Klose will go all Red Baron on the Chileans and cut 'em down from the sky.

England vs Italy (1- 2)
England played abnormally crappy. They were committing a bunch of unforced fundamental errors. Italy was happy to sandbag with their 2-1 lead, and why not? Italy only played with a loan stryker but at least they weren't packing it in until the sandbagging stage at the end.
