Now I'm not gonna say that, because you have a right to express your opinion. Much like this young lady has the right to do it with her own body.

I've considered it a few times but will never jump into the decision. I commend Miss Kansas for not covering them up.

I'm probably the minority opinion, but I've never bought the line that these pageants are about anything more than appearances. They've tried to make it about more, but I doubt most people spend an entire evening just to hear them answer questions with empty sound bites, sing a song or play the piano. They can turn to CNN or America's Got Talent for that.

Thank you for your service to our country but covering up your skanky tats is the best idea.

Isn't Mss USA more of the beauty contest and Miss America the beauty and talent contest? I haven't watch in a while so I don't know if either has changed.

                Yes, that is correct, traditionally.

From a religious viewpoint, you shouldn't have tattoos.

                  Lev. 19:28
28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.

From that some part of the bible, we're not to eat non-kosher meat or cut the hair from our temples. Context is key and the pagan worshipers around them is what it was referencing.

Now, if you've never eaten non-kosher meat and have never cut the hair from your temples, props to you. I believe that you can still glorify God with tattoos.

The surrounding peoples of that time (pagans, heathens) used to tattoo the names of their gods on their skin. By not doing that the Jews set themselves apart. Hence, "I am the Lord". It was more to say, don't do what the heathens are doing for the reasons the heathens do it.

At best, I would say it's one of many disputable matters. But I don't think that's the point of this thread.

I commend her for both her service to our nation and her tats. I would encourage her to get a tramp stamp though if her goal is to be the true embodiment of the state she represents.

I like Matt Holliday's tattoo on his left arm, it seems meaningful to me:

It says "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding."

I don't know. The one Miss Missouri that I can really recall is married to Tony Romo though. That's pretty cool.

This is for you @RoyalShock .

The bible instruct us not to judge.

It is the heart that truly matters.

She has tattoos. So what? Some people have piercings. Some people take the Lords name in vain.

She has entered a beauty pageant. She is doing something to shake things up. So what?

This is who she is. In a world of barbies that all look the same, she is being an individual. In a world of breast implants and make-up to cover flaws, she is choosing to not cover up her marked skin.

Some may disagree with girls parading around naked, but that is their choice.

                                FOR 'MURICA:
This country was founded because of religious oppression and out of that was born freedom of expression. If she wants to express herself then it is un-American for us to condemn her for it.

Personally, more power to her. I will save my Feminism speech for another day.
