Detroit isn't going to falter. We are in a wildcard hunt only. Root against Baltimore, Cleveland, Oakland and NYY.

When you still have 11 games left against Detroit - you still hold your destiny in your hands. I would conjecture if KC is playing well enough to win the wildcard, they will likely also be within striking distance of winning their Division.

Detroit only has seven games left against teams better than KC record-wise. Being currently 6.5 back, I think KC would have to go at least 7-4 and probably 8-3 against Detroit to have a chance at catching them. I'll be ecstatic to escape at 6-5.

This upcoming 5-game serious, we don't get to face their worst starter (Porcello) and they get to avoid our best (Santana). So I'm expecting to go 2-3, at best, in this series. That won't be a good start toward going 7-4 or 8-3.

That said, it's baseball and anything can happen. I hope you're right.

Now that they've lost six straight, they are definitely part of the conversation.

It was great to see Duffy pitched well in his 2nd game.

On a side note, Zimmer has been shut down for the year with shoulder tightness. Hopefully it's nothing a little rest can't help and he's good to go this spring.

Was pretty sure that Tejada was done in KC due to injury, but now it looks like he may be done forever. Suspended today by MLB for 105 games
