KC would have had a top #2 pick - anybody there you would rather have had instead of Smith?

Chiefs add in the 3rd round:

TE Travis Kelce (cincy) - probably say KC doesn't have much faith (or insurance) in Moecki. Suspended in 2010 for drug use. His brother played for Andy Reid in Philly

RB Knile Davis (Arkansas) - last time he played well was in 2010 and his been injured since. Has a reputation for fumbling. Run sub 4.4 and had the strongest upper body strength of any RB of the draft.

Chiefs take ILB Nico Johnson (Alabama) in the 4th round. Not known for being a playmaker with no sacking ability. Will be know for being a run stopping specialist and being a sure tackler. He is typical ILB for 3-4 defense. Won't be flashy, but will do what you ask him to do.

            40 yard - 4.73 sec

I like the Nico Johnson pick. The Chiefs needed an inside linebacker to pair with DJ and they struggled against the run last year. This pick fits that need.

Honestly, sounds exactly like the player that Belcher was. Sounds like a pretty good pickup.

Chiefs finished up the draft with:

5th - CB Sanders Commings (Georgia) - is looked to be safety in the NFL
6th - OC Eric Kush (California PA) - undersized, can play OC/OG
6th - FB Braden Wilson (KSU) - pure blocking back
7th - DE Mike Catapano, Princeton - fairly favorable reviews of him, will be a project, but they think he will develop into a solid contributor

Chiefs signed undrafted QB Tyler Bray (Tenn)

In general KC draft has been graded out between C-, C and B-. The guy who did "C-" kind of lost credibility as he dinged Chiefs for picking Kelce in the 2nd round.

So, not sexy draft but It will all depend on really how Alex Smith (since he was basically a 2nd round pick) and Eric Fisher pan out

I feel alot better about the QB position after picking up Alex Smith.

I still want to jettison Stanzi, add Tebow, and have four QBs active. AS, CD, TT, Bray/Tanney

You want to add Tebow? Really? He can't even get a sure deal at QB in the CFL. If you want someone for spiritual guidance lets get some Southern Baptist minister that will fire them up with a little hellfire and brimstone pregame prayer. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I agree that I wouldn't sign Tebow as a QB (would look at him as a FBI or TE). You do sound a little disrespectful though at those whose beliefs don't agree with you. Tebow is a good guy and a good football player. I'm not sold on him as a QB.

Sometimes I look at tebow and wonder if QB is about the only position he shouldn't have played. The guy probably could have made the nfl at LB, DE, FB, TE, Special teams... Heck he could probably have even been a kicker or punter. Somebody needs to take a chance on him at LB and see if his QB instincts don't make him really successful.

Tebow wouldn't fit in on defense because he doesn't like to hit people because of his religious beliefs.
