The flight tracker I posted above is awful. It ends as it approaches crossing the Potomac river.

It’s been a while since I’ve flown out of Wichita, but does AA usually fly direct from Wichita to DC?

I don't know anyone on that flight, but I'm just sick to my stomach. Prayers to all of you.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Yes, this is a routine flight.

A blackhawk helicopter in Washington D.C. isn't unusual, but how can this happen?

This direct flight was added in the last year or so.

I know nothing about flying, but the longer run video shows the helicopter flying pretty straight from left to right and quite a way out. It made no change in visible movement all the way across as it hit the passenger jet pretty much on its side.

Don't want to speculate, but looking at the flight tracker...

Plane is lined up on one runway and looks to have made a right turn to align on the other runway at the last minute.

Where have you found the longer video?
