I'll skip the politics angle and just talk about the personality. I don't think there is a single person alive who could effectively "ream" him. He would just blow them off.

We once had a very headstrong coach leading Shocker Basketball who seemingly wouldn't take NO from anyone. But there were still a couple people who had the ability to tell him to STFU. Namely his wife and his mother.

I don't that person exists for 45/47.

I don't doubt that is a difficult task, but (much like the person you reference) to get through to 47, you have to appeal to the thing that means something to him, and in both cases that's winning and losing.

Dude. The family requested her name not be released until they found her body. And she joined the Army National Guard during Trump's first term and graduated top 20% of her class. DEI is terrible and the ATC is a shining example of where it can go tragically wrong, but Captain Lobach was not part of the DEI problem.

So she was promoted to Captain in 6 years (including the time she was assigned to the White House as an aide, a WH that used DEI EXCLUSIVELY and she was openly gay) and she was flying a Blackhawk on missions. AND found a way to purchase a $500k house at the same time. She flew her helicopter into a plane of people after not communicating with ATC, but was fully qualified to be a pilot outside of DEI promoting practices? On top of all of that, her social media was scrubbed, but not good enough, and we can see that she was also an activist.

Maybe that is the case, but it is a really bad look none the less.

You know I don't align with her poltically. But I have to be intellectually honest and the truth is she met every single standard to become a black hawk pilot that every single male had to meet.

Who she sleeps with and hobknobs with changes nothing in that regard. She was qualified. That doesn't mean she was Chuck Yeager and was a great pilot. It just means she wasnt a DEI hire.

The DEI failure in this situation was the ATC being understaffed while a bunch of white men that qualified to become AT contollers were not hired due to DEI hiring practices.

I’ve seen unqualified White House aides get fast tracked to positions they weren’t qualified for irregardless of their race, gender or sexual orientation, including a white dude. Not that has anything to do with DEI or whether it caused the accident, but there are other explanations possible as to why she was promoted. That is why a White House Fellow position is so coveted.

We haven’t even really determined who was the largest blame holder. For all we know someone in the Blackhawk or ATC tower could have intentionally caused it. Will be interesting when they scrub all of their backgrounds.

AOL - U.S. Figure Skating: 28 people on crashed plane tied to sport

Nearly half of the passengers aboard the American Airlines plane that collided with a military helicopter on approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport last week had links to the figure skating community.

Samuel Auxier, the interim CEO of U.S. Figure Skating, issued a statement Sunday verifying the number and remembering those killed.

"Since the tragic crash of American Airlines Flight 5342 late Wednesday night, U.S. Figure Skating has been connecting with the loved ones of those who lost their lives, offering the support of our extended community while remembering the light they brought to us all," Auxier said.

"We can confirm that we have lost 28 members of the figure skating community on this flight. They were incredible athletes, caring and supportive family members, and coaches who worked tirelessly for their athletes. They were beloved members of our global skating community, and we mourn their loss together."

In all, 11 skaters between ages 11 and 16, four coaches and 13 others -- all family members of the skaters -- were killed, according to the organization.
