  • Entertainment Choices You Somewhat Embarrassed to Admit You Like

No porn nominations or other smart ass answers. No sports teams.

    I will start;
    Roadhouse (the original)

    Pitch Perfect (all)

Elton John (usually I am extreme classic rocker)

    Man I feel better.

I’m pretty eclectic with my music tastes. You name it, I can probably at least tolerate it, if not enjoy it.

Call me a church nerd, but I geeked out at attending a hymn sing last night where people sang parts. I really need to do more of that.

I really don’t want movies much…or even anything TV-related outside of ballgames. There are some dumb-humor movies that I really enjoy. DUMB AND DUMBER, ANCHORMAN etc. There was a movie that my college roommate showed me. NOTHING TO LOSE with Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence. Haven’t watched it in years, but it was enjoyable.

There’s a spider on your head.
      What?
There’s a spider on your head.
(Paraphrased) Is that some sort of jive talk? What does that mean?
It means there’s a spider on your m-f-ing head.

I haven’t watched any new episodes in such a long time, but the first 5-10 years of South Park were freaking hilarious. Trey and Matt are brilliant. IThat goes for Team America and Book of Mormon too. I remember watching BASEketball on a basketball roadie. The coaches rolled their eyes, but the guys loved it.

The script was so corny and the machismo was beyond silly but loved the setting and Sam Elliott.

I don't know how a person could be embarrassed for liking the greatest cinematic masterpiece of all time.

Admittedly, I don't know if it's because it's brilliant or because my wife goes ballistic every time I watch it that makes me enjoy it more.

For me...my horrific taste in music, which can only be defined as scattered schizophrenic which far too often leans to miserable one hit wonders over the last 50 years or so.

          Movies

(Refuse to be embarrassed about Road House)

          Sky High

          Tank

Thunderbirds are Go! (both the 60s marionette tv version and the 2004 movie)

In the Line of Fire: Hunt for Justice (Adam Arkin is a terrible actor, but I can't turn away it seems)

Heat (Burt Reynolds......I, too, am good with an edge)

Night of the Running Man (if you sense an old school Vegas theme, your senses are well calibrated)

          Fast Break

Any outdoor survival/hunting show (MeatEater, Homestead Rescue, Alaska Last Frontier etc) which is SO not me....again, maybe it's simply because it irritates my better half.

Literally any movie that moves me to tears...Searching for Bobby Fisher, Brian's Song (original) etc.

Random Christmas music, any time of the year.....old Gospel Amy Grant Xmas....Fairytale of New York.

Are you ridiculed or is this your first public admission?

Can’t think of any movies or shows that I’m embarrassed about liking but I still jam to old school Duran Duran and Prince.
