Here’s one to be added: Pink Floyd, September 13, 1972, Henry Levitt Arena. I’ll never forget it, my first concert. It was a school night, I was 14 and my parents actually allowed me to go. Speakers everywhere. As the crowd settled into our seats, there was anxious anticipation and the smell of reefer. Faintly, the sound of a heartbeat could be heard, sensed rather, and then it became more noticeable and louder and the crowd settled down. Fog started rolling over the stage, lights begin revolving in Nick Mason’s drums and with no other warning, the lights went out and the band kicks into Breathe as flames shoot out of either side of the stage. It was the Dark Side of the Moon tour and they played the entire album. Mind blown. Needless to say, it set a pretty high bar for every other concert I ever attended.
