Today's experiment is with this game:

    Vermont @ Binghamton

Not as excited about this one, so I included the 11-16 band and am doing it only as an experiment. I don't think I would normally bet on this one.

Vermont won by 20 which gave +800 odds. Combined with the winning hedge bet at -285 odds and subtracting the losers, this ended up being a 46.9% ROI. Not bad for 30 minutes of work this morning!

ROI on this technique so far:

      1. 406%
      2. 0%
      3. 59%
      4. 47%

Soon I expect to see some -100% ROI when a full on upset occurs and even my hedge bet loses. Question is how frequent will that be?

Going to try Toledo @ Central Michigan today. Again, don't feel great about it, but in the name of experimentation I'm running with it. Could be my first -100% ROI.

Toledo down 5 and almost half. Might be taking my first full L tonight.

Took the L on that one, but not surprised. It was outside my selection criteria but the only game even close today. -100% ROI.

You should be doing this on AAC games, since you’re running away with the pick’em contest.

                ... No really, deuces.

The problem is you need a lot of games to sort through and only a very few will fall into the category where it looks like it should be a good bet. Yesterday for example had a lot fewer games, and I don't _really_ know what the boundaries are to select the game, so I went with the best I could just to test it. It will help me in the long run know where the less risky bets are, if this is even a thing at all. It might not be.

And also, I am just getting lucky at pic'em. Wouldn't be surprised to see my guesses there tank at any time.

The house doesn't stay in business making losing propositions for very long. In the long run the majority of gamblers will lose to the juice.

The house relies on amateurs and recreational betters, which obviously are the vast majority. There are ways to gain edge, and bet smartly (KW is kinda on the path here) that can actually give you a decent payday, even in the long term, if you know what you’re doing.

Bah, I didn't get to run my stuff and pick a game until they just now. Hope there are some juicy ones left!

                            Trying: Grand Canyon vs Seattle

Have a higher expectation on this one, it falls within my selection criteria, unlike the last two. But is the selection criteria is worth a darn?

Finally getting computer time today, and I am changing up the selection criteria by quite a bit. Unfortunately there are no games today where the odds given at fanduel make sense for this strategy.
