Reality check. You live in Kansas. Shut your mouth and quit complaining. I know soldiers that have come back from overseas and wear jackets because its too cool. Just shut up.

Down -8 as of today - which means it will have to touch 100 every day from tomorrow to August 4 to tie last year at that point. Or we are going to need a very hot September to make up lost ground. It look like a hot summer, but not a epic summer we had last year.

May not be epic for 100s, still looks like mid-upper 90s; EXTREME Drought

Lower 90s/Upper 80s; I'm not expecting July to end with less than 1" in gauge, but it looks likely.

So you don't expect the likely, even though all you've done is whine like a 3 year old girl about just that for a month here?

Thank God I don't even know where Goatville is, much less have you as a neighbor.

And 'pin, don't let this comment allow you to think any of us here are anything less than sympathetic towards your plight. I hope all of our ag related friends make it through these tough times.

Rain is starting to creep into the forecast. Looks like next Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday so far. Way too early to get excited, though.

Heat is beating records around the country: the first five months of 2012 have been the hottest on record in the contiguous United States. And that's not including June, when 164 all-time high temperature records were tied or broken around the country, according to government records.
