PAPILLION, Neb. - Lefty Will Smith pitched well and the freshly promoted Wil Myers went 2-for-5 at the plate with an RBI but it was not enough as the Storm Chasers were stymied by the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-2, on Thursday. The loss snapped Omaha's 14 game Werner Park win streak.
Smith (1-3) performed well in defeat, pitching through 7.2 innings while giving up three runs (two earned.) Tacoma's (16-24) Sean Henn (3-0) picked up the win after working two innings in relief of starter Erasmo Ramirez while the Rainiers' Stephen Pryor earned his first save of the season.
