Taco shop is literally the only Wichita food I get cravings for up here. I had a buddy that was going to overnight me some, but then I flew in and we went and ate it together.

Someone once told me the QT's were laid out based on routes safest for the semi drivers delivering the gas. Drivers started on the east side of Wichita due to the locations of the refineries and worked their way west and it was easier to turn into a QT before a stoplight then after one, as well as exit the QT and go on to the next QT. The ones on the west side were delivered to on the way back.
I'm not sure if that's the case anymore. I imagine now it's about the real estate and what's available and can meet their needs in terms of the number of pumps, parking spots, and design of the store for now and any future expansion.Last edited by Ted Lasso's Neighbor; February 22, 2022, 06:08 PM.Not responsible for damage from posts that sail over the reader's head.

Not sure which location would be better for delivery but there was no room to expand it like they did with the new location.
For a number of years, one could stop in for a large soda for less than 1.00. Now, they've gone up to 1.19 or 1.29 (maybe higher by now with the new inflation prices), for a large soda. I choose not to drop in any longer. They make a lot of money on soda's, and us idiots.
I go into McDonald's for a large soda now for 1.00, and almost never stop in at QT.
Thanks for allowing me to blow off some QT steam. :)
