  • Best Female singer?

I am just curious about what people like. Keep in mind I am not asking about the best technical voice – just one you like to listen to. I am partial to the female voice; and lyrics, if they are her own, matter too.

And I do have my favorite; been that way for a couple decades.

          Or Lauren Barlow.

I'll have to research which one is which. Together they're even better.

I love getting blasted for my taste in music (admittedly I have none). Does that make me a sadist or a masochist? Like port and starboard, I can never get it right.

Leann Rimes, Martina McBride and Amy Grant (early years before she went pop). And I will always think Karen Carpenter had the most perfect voice I've ever heard.

All great choices @WuDrWu:; Karen Carpenter is also one of my all-time favorites with songs like, "We've Only Just Begun”.

It just doesn’t get any better than this…

I like Martina. Dusty Springfield? Aretha? Lucinda Williams?

I would have to vote for Celine Dion and Faith Hill. I just love Faith Hill's 'Breathe'.
