The "new" Cedar sucked. I went to the old Cedar after every game and loved it. I went to the new location once.

The old Cedar's neighborhood has been bad for a long time.

I actually think it is better now than it was in the mid 1980s when I was a student at WSU.

I had a friend robbed at gunpoint on the street in b/t the Flicker and the Cedar in 1985 or so.

      I say bring back McNasty's!!!

        or the Shockernet Saloon! :good:

Here’s a partial list of featured menu items:
        “Cold-Blooded” Cold Cut Killer Sandwich
        “Dofo” Deep Fried Chicken Strips
        “KCShox” Cabbage Stew

Now here's a guy who's using his noodle. You might just be on to something. Start with a loyal following and let the masses join a good thing.

I also went there once and thought the atmosphere was terrible, mainly because of how bright it was in there. I also second the fact that the old Ceder location was downright scary, I was always in "I could get robbed" mode when I was in the parking lot.

I miss Tanner's jalepeno cheese balls, those were so freaking good.

Hopefully the Furkin Bull Pub or whatever it's called develops into a good shocker game hangout, we need something out west.

I'd like a Royal(e) Shock with cheese, extra Awesome Sauce...

I loved the old Cedar. Never went to the new one. The old one wasn't near as bad as people thought either.

                    Shox 151,

It's moving into where Famous Dave's was on 21st and Maize. It's modeled after English pubs, sounds like a cool hang but we'll see.

Thanks Wheaties, might be another place to go and catch the game on the west side, it can't hurt.

Of any place in Wichita I miss the most, it's The Cedar. It was by far the place that had the best bar food.
