If I were in the hospital, I'd option to take the approved treatments recommended by a doctor vs having a family member bring me a dose of Ivermectin they picked up from their vet.

I'm happy to say that today I tested negative. A full 10 days after first sign of symptoms. The dark seed has been banished and hopefully this is the last of it. *knocks on wood*.

Next fall I will be getting the booster (along with the flu shot). I got cocky, figured I had super-immunity. I did not. Or at least not with the latest iteration.

Get your flu, RSV, and Covid shot today! Life's too short to waste time lying in bed... or worse. The vaccines work!

Oh, and I HIGHLY recommend anybody over 50 getting their Shingles vaccine. I know somebody who recently came down with Shingles, and brother (sister?), you wouldn't wish that on your worst enemy. The neurologic pain can continue for the rest of your life.

There are some pretty potent medications available (with plenty of side effects); however, if you know somebody that is still suffering, tell them to contact a pain center and get evaluated for a nerve block.

Those who seek the truth can search back 3 or 4 years and read one of my many forum works on Covid. They are aging like the finest red wine.

The vaccine was (and is) a SMASHING success. It was THE great achievement of a 100 yr. old pandemic. Many therapies developed were smashing successes too. Had we endured this pandemic 100 years ago, it would have been FAR worse.

Tucker Carlson has ZERO credibility any longer with serious people. He is a propagandist tool. There's almost no chance he believes what he's saying. If he does, then that's an even scarier thought to me.

The politicization of Covid needlessly killed 100's of thousands of people. Trump was the great politicizer. He started out well though. Too bad he couldn't have kept it up. He'd be president today if he had.

As great as the vaccine was, it could have been FAR more effective had there been widespread adoption. Couple that with nationwide adherence to the policies put for by Dr. Fauci regarding scaled openings, separations and such, and this country would have had a FAR different pandemic experience. In fact, I believe we would have got the country up and running AT LEAST a full year sooner.

So much needless suffering, from the children to the seniors. So much needless death. If there's any lesson to be learned from our experience, it is to LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR!!!!!

Fauci is positive and experiencing mild symptoms. He's 83.

When the pandemic was in full swing, 99% of those in the ICU were unvaccinated. Had everybody joined in by taking the vaccine (FROM THE START), we would have MASSIVELY cut the viruses beneficial mutation rate. Those having "complete" immunity from the virus would have lasted longer. MANY would still be alive today. We may have even eradicated the virus with further vaccine/booster development just like we have with countless other pathogens.

But.... with the majority of Republicans not taking the vaccine, it is all academic.
