2018 ShockerNet Fantasy Football

It's that time again to gauge interest in this year's version of ShockerNet Fantasy Football. Last year, we had the following players play:

I did exclude one person who was a non-participant last year. Again, that's a big thing that I ask...to play out the season, even if your team is bad. At the very minimum, please make sure your starting lineup spots are filled. It literally takes just a couple of minutes each week. It's not too fun when someone gets a free win late in the year because an opponent has quit and has multiple IR guys in their starting lineup.

So, first and foremost, I want to check back with these ten players (and me...I'm obviously in) first to see who wants to play this year. The target is 12, so we will fill in open spots once I give these people first right of refusal.

In the last couple of years, the draft has been around Labor Day (either that Monday night or maybe on Sunday). Plan for something similar if you choose to play.

With Yours Truly also playing, that puts us at 7 players. We can take three or five more. Who wants to join us? It's a free game...just for some bragging rights. That said, we do ask that if you play, you do actually play through the whole year even if your team stinks...none of this stuff of leaving 3 or 4 guys on IR in your starting lineup.

I have initially set the draft to be at 9pm Central time on Labor Day night. That should be late enough that we won't be interrupting any holiday plans and also hopefully allowing those with little ones (namely ME) to get said little ones put to bed.

That said, I am game for other suggestions.
