Now that 2011 has tied 1980 for second place with 46 days, does anyone know when 1936 reached 46 days? Are we ahead of the 1936 pace to reach 50 or behind?

Corrected
I did some searches and looking around but couldn't find anything to see where we were relative to 1936.
All I could find was Aug 12 - 114 degrees. 20 day stretch of 100+
Probably have to have to contact the ICT office as I'm sure they know this but just hasn't been put online.

If the weather were a WSU basketball team we would now have about 20 consecutive days of 99 degree weather.
It would never pop over 100 degrees so that we can set a record and get at least SOME enjoyment or bragging rights out of it. But it would be as hot as it possibly can with 75% humidity such that we would feel the full torture of the heat while not getting those bragging rights.
Can you tell I have been thinking about the MVC tournament?Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

I'll bet we touch 100 three more times this week and break the record. I hope those lows in the low 60s in the long range forecast hold true so the ground temps can start dropping back.Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss

Wow, you guys weren't kidding.
Just looked at the latest NWS forecast and did I see that right? Monday morning low of 60 and a Labor Day high of 79??!!
If that is anything CLOSE to accurate, I'll be more than overjoyed. It's been a long time coming.
Might as well take these next few days in stride and break the damn record.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

And that's a nice looking dip with some solid northwest flow.
Argued with raiders fans all day today about how the chiefs were bad because the did not win the WC Playoff game last year, they didn't even make the playoffs  :shock:The mountains are calling, and I must go.
