The place was always a dump, now it is in the middle of gang territory, tear it down and put in a trailer park, it would fit in with the neighborhood.
Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

I think that's being kind. English is not spoken in the area. As a child, I spent a lot of time at Joyland but you couldn't pay me to go there with my child if they paved it with gold and handed out $100 bills for napkins.

I can't believe there is a section of Wichita that is that bad.

It was never a good neighborhhod that I remember. However, I was down there a few years back and I was shocked at how bad it had gotten. 9th and Grove is several rungs above this area on the socioeconomic ladder. The cost to demolish the park is in excess of the value remaining in the land, so nothing will ever be done there. It might make a good location for a refilming of "The Warriors." Wichita has many really sh@tty parts, but that is the worst.

Maybe that could be the inspiration for an ad campaign should they actually reopen.

              Seriously?

Like 80-90% of Wichita south of Kellogg is "that bad." North of that road it's still probably 50%. A sizable chunk of this town is a cesspool.

Your drug dealer must live in a bad part of town south of Kellogg.

The phrases "bad part of town" and "south of Kellogg" are mostly redundant... just FYI.
