The time is now!! A road sweep will boost the Shox confidence. To be aggressive they might consider starting in full court man or a zone press. Mix up the defenses to get some energy. Run some clear plays for Haleigh so she can take it to the rim. Go Shox!! :goshocks:

Shocks up 37-17 at the half. Shocks actually struggled a little at the end of the half when Drake went to a zone defense.
Shocks were up 30-8 with about 6 minutes left in the half. Drake went on a 9-2 run to close within 15 at 32-17 as Shocks did not adjust to Drake's zone very well.
However, in the last 45 seconds Chynna banked in a Duece and Morgan hit a Trey at the buzzer to close out the half.
Shocks with 22 points off of 17 turnovers.
I don't expect them to duplicate that half but it would be nice if they can put another solid half in the books.

Shocks hold on for a 66-57 win after Drake closed to 61-57 with 50 seconds left. Jessica Diamond saved the Shocks bacon with her best game of the year with 21 points. No one else was much help in the second half.
Hard to tell from the radio whether the Shocks were just poor attacking Drake's zone or if the were just too passive, too early and allowed Drake to capture the momentum. Sounded like they went into the prevent offense a little early to me.
Jessica hit two big treys as the shot clock was expiring and, with 45 seconds remaining, she hit 2 big free throws remaining after Drake pulled to 61-57.
Any road win is a good win for this Shocker team.

Shocks could help themselves immensely if they would start knocking down their free throws at a significantly higher rate. At 55.9% in MVC play they are by far and away the worst free throw shooting team in the conference. We have two players, Michelle (22-62) and Breanna (4-11) shooting around 36% for the year.
In the second half against Drake we were 6-13 from the line. Take away Jessica's two huge makes with 0:50 remaining the rest of the team was 4-11 (36%).
We need to be shooting around 70% from the line as a team. That would still only be good for 8th best during conference play, but nevertheless would be a big help.
